What does it mean to order a whole animal?

Reserving a whole animal is less a transaction and more a commission. A specific Fassone bull or heifer is spoken for in your name, raised and finished according to a program designed around your needs, and allocated to you alone. Throughout the process, you work directly with the owners (and, at key moments, with our meat scientist and partners) to shape how that animal ultimately appears on your table.

How far in advance should I plan if I’d like to commission a whole animal?

Lead times for a whole-animal commission are typically 6–12 months, depending on current reservations and the level of customization you choose. This window allows us to plan the feeding program, finishing, and harvesting schedule with the same care you’d expect from a bespoke atelier. During this period, our Concierge stays in close contact so you always know where your animal is in its journey.

Can I split a whole animal reservation?

Yes. Some of our clients, especially teammates, training partners, or close friends, choose to share a whole-animal commission.

A shared allocation is clean, simple, and fair: we design a single cut map, then divide the yield into balanced portions so that each party receives an equivalent mix of steaks, roasts, ground, and bone. For athletes, we can further portion and plan around training blocks, creating monthly allocations that support your season and recovery goals.

From there, we ship directly to each address on a regular cadence, so everyone enjoys the same protein efficiency with half the friction.

If you prefer not to split a whole animal, we also offer the option to reserve a half animal outright.

What are my delivery options?

For clients purchasing a whole animal, we provide complimentary cold storage for your reservation and coordinate deliveries on your schedule. Many clients prefer to receive their Fassone in curated allocations timed to seasons, travel, and entertaining rather than all at once. We can also ship to multiple destinations, ensuring your holdings are always accessible but never overwhelming your freezer space.

For clients purchasing individual cuts or curated boxes, we design each shipment to be easy to live with: vacuum-sealed, individually portioned, and organized for straightforward freezer storage. You’re welcome to reorder as needed or work with our Concierge to plan a standing cadence of deliveries that matches the rhythm of your home or kitchen.
