Before it became our family’s life’s work, Fassone was once known as “beef from the king’s private kitchen.” Our story begins decades ago in the American West, where Gary Owens helped pioneer Piedmontese genetics in the U.S., stewarding bloodlines, founding associations, and safeguarding embryos when few even knew the name. Today, Lauren and Justin Owens carry that mantle at Manzo—reviving Owens Farms under a modern label and protecting 100% Fassone purity with unwavering rigor. We travel to Piemonte, study the heritage, and let the lineage guide every decision.
